Please read the following information and conditions as they form the basis for acceptance of all reservations by Groups Abroad.

How to make your reservation

Please contact us directly with your requests either by phone or e-mail and we are happy to make the necessary arrangements for you. All e-mail enquiries will be actioned within 24hours. We are also able to give you immediate answers and booking options on tour(s) offered to you. Tour Price Tour prices are based on costs in effect at the time of the quotation. Costs will also depend on availability of hotels, ground content and flights quoted on at the time of booking. These costs are subject to the group travelling together throughout the tour. Any variation will incur an amendment fee and may also jeopardise the costs for the rest of the group. Prices are based on the tour numbers stipulated on the itinerary. Any change in tour numbers will result in a revised tour price.

Deposit and final payment

To confirm your reservation, you will be asked to send us a deposit of $500 per person for each participant which must reach us within 14 days from the date of booking, to secure your group reservation. Groups Abroad accepts selected credit cards; however please note merchant fees will apply. Please contact us directly for alternative payment options. Your booking deposit forms part of your final payment, which must be received by us not less then six weeks before departure. If for any reason the payment is not received by us on this date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and apply the appropriate cancellation charges including loss of initial deposit. In the cast of billing errors, we reserve the right to re-invoice with correct pricing. Payment of the deposit means that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Payments schedule deposit 

A $500.00 per person deposit is required to confirm your place as a member of the touring group. Bookings will be processed once the group has deposited funds on file. Interim Payment - 6 month’s prior to departure: $1,000.00 per person Final Tour Payment – 8 weeks prior to departure.

Cancellations and cancellation fees

All cancellations must be received in writing via email. Phone cancellations will not be accepted. The following cancellation fees apply per person:

Cancellation fees may also apply to any additional services, reserved prior to, during and after the tour. Cancellation fees may also apply to any additional services reserved prior to, during and after the tour. If flight changes, including flight cancellations, are requested, revision fees or airline cancellation fees will apply. If an air inclusive tour is cancelled after air tickets have been issued, any applicable refunds will be processed after air tickets are returned to Groups Abroad.

Groups Abroad cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other travel arrangements not made through Groups Abroad.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that at the time of booking you take out adequate Travel Insurance, including cover against cancellation. The above cancellation charges will be applied in all cases. Revision fees After final payment any alteration or revision made to a reservation will impose penalties. Airline penalties may also apply and may be up to 100% of the full ticketed price. Any revisions to a booking may result in the loss of a confirmed airline reservation or an increased airfare which will be payable by the passenger. A change to traveller name, tour date or tour itinerary within final payment dates will be treated as a cancellation and new reservation; standard cancellation fees apply.

Air Arrangements

Groups Abroad is not responsible if an airline cancels, reschedules, or delays the flight for any reason. If you miss your departure flight, it is your responsibility to work with the airline you are ticketed with to reach your destination. Groups Abroad is not responsible for any additional expenses you may incur prior to joining your holiday. Groups Abroad is not responsible and will not provide any refund for portions of holidays missed due to cancelled, rescheduled or delayed flights. Please be aware that airfare conditions vary with airlines and some fares have special requirements, payment deadlines and cancellation fees.

 Tour Price / Changes

All tour prices are based on rates (including foreign exchange rates) known at the time of quotation and expected to be in effect at the time of departure. Due to escalating prices and economic instability it is impossible to predict accurately currency fluctuations therefore prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to adjust our prices at any time up to and including the day that final payment is made. Air tickets booked via Groups Abroad are guaranteed once we receive full payment. This does not include any Government/airport tax increases and currency fluctuations. Departures are subject to price and itinerary modification. Room types vary from city to city and not all accommodation room types are available on certain tours. Group departures are subject to price and itinerary modifications. All quotations are based upon a SELLING rate of exchange which is subject to change.

Visas & Passports

A valid Australian passport is required for all tours to Japan. For all other passport holders it is imperative that you check the visa requirements. Local consulates will also be in a position to give advice. Passengers are responsible for getting their own visa’s and must ensure that they can obtain these visas before entering into a booking commitment with us.

Baggage allowance

Due to limited coach capacity, you are only allowed one single bag and its dimensions should not exceed 76x53x28cm and weight not exceeding 22kg. We regret that we are unable to accept a second suitcase, or any luggage exceeding these limits. Air carriers may also impose fees if size or weight limits on checked or carry-on luggage are exceeded. Excess baggage charges are the responsibility of the passenger. No responsibility is accepted for loss of or damage to baggage or any of the tour participant’s belongings. Baggage insurance is recommended.

Travel documents

Approximately four weeks prior to departure from Australia all Travel Documents, including any paper air tickets or e-ticket itineraries are sent by regular ground delivery, provided full payment has been received.

Not included in the tour price

Airport taxes and fees (unless specified); passports; visas and vaccinations; laundry, telephone, mini bar; alcohol, beverages and meals – unless specified; optional excursions; porterage at airports; travel insurance; excess baggage fees; all other items of a personal nature.


Please note that any request for refunds is subject to the terms and conditions of Groups Abroad; no refund is available after the tour has commenced, for unused transportation where group activity tickets are involved, or for voluntary modifications made by the traveller. Employees of any overseas supplier are not authorised by Groups Abroad to make undertakings to our clients in respect to refunds or other matters.

Service inquiries after the tour

After returning from the tour, you wish to inquire about any tour services provided, please ensure that all correspondence relating to those services is received by Groups Abroad in writing within 60 days of the tour completion date. This will enable Groups Abroad to make a timely investigation. Holidays during local or national holidays, special events and religious occasions, certain facilities such as temples, shrines, museums and shopping may be limited or not available. Alternatives will be offered whenever possible. Groups Abroad cannot be held responsible for any closures or curtails for any reason.


Please be aware that during your participation in tours operated by Groups Abroad, certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control including, but not limited to, the hazards of travel by boat, train, automobile, aircraft or other means of transportation; the forces of nature, political unrest; acts of lawlessness or terrorism; and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities.Groups Abroad will not have liability regarding provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. It is understood that Groups Abroad will use its best efforts to ensure that adequate measures are taken.

(hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is responsible to you in making arrangements for the tour services offered in this website or brochure, including transportation, sightseeing, and accommodations. All references to Company include its agents and employees. The carriers, accommodations, and other suppliers providing tour services are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, or servants of, or joint venturers with, the Company or its affiliates. All certificates and other travel documents for tour services issued by the Company are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier, which are available upon request and to the laws of the countries in which the services are supplied. The international carriage of passengers is subject to international conventions and treaties, where applicable. These international agreements limit and in some events, exclude the carrier's liability to passengers (vacation participants). Where any claim or part of a claim (including those involving death or personal injury) concerns or involves any travel arrangements (including the process of getting on or off the transport concerned) provided by any air, sea, inland waterways, rail or road carrier or any stay in a hotel, the Company's maximum liability is the maximum which would be payable by the carrier or the hotel keeper concerned under the applicable international convention, treaty ore regulation applicable to the travel arrangements or hotel stay (e.g. the Warsaw Convention, the Montreal Convention for international travel by air, the EU Regulation on Air Carrier Liability for carriers with an operating license granted by an EU country) in that situation. If, after tour departure, the services included in the tour cannot be supplied, or there are changes in an itinerary for reasons beyond the control of the Company, the Company will arrange for the provision of comparable services. Any resulting additional expense will be payable by travellers and any resulting saving will be refunded by the Company to tour participants. The Company reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to make changes in the itinerary whenever the Company deems it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of the tour participants, and to cancel a tour at any time. The tour participant agrees that neither the Company nor its affiliates shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss) or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing tour services, or any insurer or insurance administrator or of any other person. Legal proceedings against the Company may be instituted only in a state or federal court within the State of New South Wales, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be decided in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales. Any legal proceedings against the Company must be commenced within one year following the date of tour completion. Neither the Company nor any affiliate shall in any case be liable for other than compensatory damages, and you hereby waive any right to punitive damages. No person, other than an authorised representative of the Company, by a document in writing, is authorised to vary, add, or waive any term or condition in this brochure, including any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions. The terms and conditions of this website or brochure do not affect the rights you may have as a “consumer” under the Trade Practices Act 1974 or any other statutory rights that by law may not be excluded or limited.

BRATISLAVA 6-9 JULY 2017-Europe-Music Festivals

This festival for orchestras and choirs provides an opportunity to participate in and contribute to the rich cultural atmosphere of Bratislava, with opportunities to perform in beautifully ornated churches, concert halls and outdoor settings in the historical centre of the city. Groups may choose to participate on either a non competitive or competitive basis in a variety of different categories.

Tokyo, Nagasaki, Hiroshima-Japan-History Tours

Retrace the history of World War II and the world's first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people; tens of thousands more would later die of radiation exposure. Three days later, another A-bomb landed on Nagasaki, killing an estimated 40,000 people. Japan's Emperor Hirohito announced his country's unconditional surrender in World War II in a radio address on August 15, citing the devastating power of 'a new and most cruel bomb.'
